CHARITY EVENT: AZ LAB and GIANT BREED RESCUE

I was talking with my daughter the other day about "special dogs" that you have in your life. There are certain roles that can only be filled once, only by one special dog.

First and foremost is your childhood dog. The one that is your best friend when you have none. The one that keeps all your secrets. The dog that keeps the monsters in the closet at bay and warms you on cold, windy fall days so you don't have to go inside from playing.

 Then there is your soul-mate. No one knows when or from where this dog will come. You usually don't know this dog until he has passed. All dogs are special...but then there is that one, that when he is gone a piece of you has left too.

This is in honor of my childhood best friend: "Bubba" (he came to us with that name :-). A Lab-Newfie rescue that was the greatest kid dog ever.

And Bob. There aren't enough words for Bob. A mixed up lab puppy that was unlooked for and unexpected. And he wasn't even mine... but he was the dearest soul-mate.
